1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Pennyscope ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. Pennyscope is provided by Frequency AI Ltd, trading as Cashew Crate.

2. Description of Service

Pennyscope is a web-based personal expense tracking application. Users manually log expenses which are stored locally in the browser and optionally synced to a secure server for cross-device access. All expense data is entered by the user — no bank accounts are linked.

3. Free and Paid Tiers

The Service offers a free tier with limited daily entries and a 30-day history window. The Pro tier ($5/month) and Crate Pass ($15/month) provide unlimited usage, full history, and additional features. Subscriptions are managed through Polar and can be cancelled at any time from your account page.

4. User Data

Expense data (amounts, categories, notes, dates) is stored locally in your browser and, when you are signed in, synced to our secure servers. We do not collect bank account information, social security numbers, or other sensitive financial identifiers. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5. Refunds

If you are unsatisfied with the Service, email [email protected] with your order number and a description of the issue. We will review refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

6. Disclaimer

Pennyscope is not a financial advisor. The Service provides expense tracking and visualization only. It does not provide financial advice, investment recommendations, or budgeting prescriptions. Users are responsible for their own financial decisions.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Frequency AI Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.

8. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
